The Monorail Project - Existing Monorail Ridership Daily Trip Distribution
I am working on modeling the hourly trips on the different monorail systems. To start, I modeled the existing system with the help of some contributors at the WDW Magic Forums.
The overall daily ridership I think is likely to be quite accurate.
I also used Touring Plans crowd calendar data to create estimates of the number of guests entering and exiting the park in any given hour.
I'm not sure how realistic the distribution is, but I think it is a reasonable start. Using this distribution, The ridership on the existing monorail network looks like the following:
I don't think the busiest leg of the monorail is the stretch of the Resort line from the Grand Floridian to Magic Kingdom in the morning. Does anything else jump out as being off?
